Michael AbouafI have been involved with the study of yoga for 40 years. I started practicing in 1968 studying from a book, Yoga Postures for Self awareness by Kriyananda. It contains 16 postures. I then took classes from many teachers who taught in the Iyengar tradition in the late 1960s. In 1969 I took up the practice of Transcendental Meditation. Along my journey I studied many different styles of yoga, Kundalini, Bikram, Anusara, Ashtanga, Power and different forms of Hatha with no name. I have studied with Master Willie Lim for over 15 years learning the 37 step Yang system of Tai Chi, I also do the 108 step form. I studied classical Okinawa Karate, obtaining my black belt in 1996. I have taught Karate for Paradise Valley Karate. I also taught Yoga in Eugene, Oregon and in Phoenix for a number of years. Teaching both Bikram and Hatha Yoga classes. This Tai Chi class will help with your balance, flexibility and breathe work. It will encompass a mind body connection, using energetics to move the Chi, (prana), (Ki). We will be doing meditation in motion, blending Tai Chi, Chi Gung and Yoga. Come and play!!!! |
