There are many reasons that we come to our mats...
Everyone comes to their mat for many different reasons. Some come to find inner peace, to improve strength and flexibility, to have fun, to learn. Donna Helm-Yost uses her yogic gifts to help and support others. Join Donna this weekend to raise funds for the project: "Hope for Uganda". |

About Hope for Uganda:
In a place where the population consists of 400,000 people, the AIDS pandemic has left 45,000 orphaned. Basically if nothing changes, the next generation will die like their parents did.
In Rakai, there are 975 families that are headed by children. These kids are completely alone. Under the age of 16, they’re known as Child Head of Household-the family “breadwinners.” How do they manage? They don’t. That’s why we’re here.
We’ve come to this place in Uganda to take action. To give food, water, medicine, shelter, education, love, and hope to these children who are in need. For these children, there is no way out of this mess. They can’t earn a living. They can’t even carry enough water in a jug to meet their daily needs. They are children! They are alone…
So we bought 10 acres of beautiful land on which to build a place of HOPE.
