Learn what it takes to go with the flow...
Monthly Intro to Flow workshop
Date: July 30, 2006 (Sunday)
Time: 3:00 - 5:00 pm
Location: Scottsdale Studio
This workshop is for:
Anyone desiring to embark upon the waves of Flow/Vinyasa yoga for the very first time,
Anyone who's been practicing Flow/Vinyasa yoga for a short time and wants to become more fluid and graceful in their practice,
Anyone who's been practicing Flow/Vinyasa yoga regularly and wants to refine and deepen their practice.
In this workshop:
We will review the necessary ingredients for a satisfying flow/vinyasa practice,
We will break down movement "phrases" and learn to master a greater sense of fluidity while traveling from pose to pose,
We will practice moving and flowing with grace and ease uniting the body with the breath.
This class is designed for advanced beginners who are ready to take their practice to the next level. Intermediate and Advanced practitioners who wish to refine their practice are also welcome to attend. Come prepared to move. If you have questions about whether you are ready for this class or not contact Debora Wayne to discuss.
Debora Wayne will combine her 25+ year experience as a professional dancer and yoga practitioner/instructor to gently guide you into the wonderful world of vinyasa flow yoga.

New monthly Naturopathic Lecture Series with Dr. Karen!
Dr. Kären van der Veer began her professional life as a visual artist, gallery director and dancer. In 1993, while fulfilling an artist residency at the University of New Mexico she made the decision to pursue a career in Medicine. She found that the principles of Naturopathic Medicine seemed "amazingly simple, just and profound" and were more in alignment with her own philosophies and intention than traditional allopathic medicine. Kären 's life is characterized by great passion and devotion. She maintains a great love for art, dance and music and has a long standing and avid interest in yoga and swimming.
Currently, Dr. van der Veer works as a General Practice Physician providing a range of Naturopathic Therapeutics to her patients including acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional counseling. She is trained in counseling and known for her compassionate listening ear. Her other involvements include starting her own non-profit organization, the Medicine Tree, to provide the Hepatitis and HIV communities with Naturopathic treatment, education and research, and being "Mom" to an amazing son.

Kirtan and Deeksha Event

Presenters: Hilary Bee with Prema Rupa
Kirtan is the chanting the name of the divine, creating deep connection with universal love.
Deeksha is the transfer of divine energy to bring about permanent shifts in consciousness.
This afternoon's workshop combines Kirtan and Deeksha, enabling participants to access profound states of bliss and joy.
Prema Rupa Kirtan Ensemble is a group of devotional musicians, whose dedication and spirit of service shine through their sound. They facilitate others to access their spiritual path.
Hilary Bee has been initiated at the Oneness University in India to bring through divine energy (deeksha) to awaken the spirit.
