Carolina Goldberg is one of At One Yoga's new star teachers. Having studied with Shiva Rea, Erich Schiffman, Max Strom, Saul Raye and Laura Miles, Carolina teaches a style rooted in tradition but very much her own. Following is a brief interview with the beautiful Carolina:
Q: Tell me about your take on yoga.
Carolina: Yoga makes me a better wife, mother and a human being. My practice takes me to places where I can experience the joy, focus, strength and confidence to stay on my path of HAPPINESS. That HAPPINESS is what I strive to share in all of my classes.
Q: What is special about your yoga class?
Carolina: I try to make my classes fun and fluid.... It's a constant moving from the heart. I work with music that uses very little words in order for students to not fidget or to have to sing along, rather it's a balance of mental focus and breath. The music I choose is to lift your spirit and help you find inspiriation.
Q: Who is your role model?
Carolina: Shiva Rea is one of my first teachers, she still rocks my world. She is strong, intelligent, and a mom like me. And BKS Iyengar.
Q: Has anyone ever told you that you resemble Ivan Drago's wife in Rocky IV?
Carolina: Well, she is Danish, and I am Swedish.
Carolina teaches the following classes:
Basics Mon 10:30am Scottsdale
Flow Tues/Thurs 9:00am Scottsdale
Flow Sunday 12:30pm Phoenix
